If there’s something that is not lacking in Chiang Mai are accommodation options for all tastes and budgets. In the historic center of the city, also known as Old Town, you’ll find countless guesthouses and hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes as well as the Walking Street Market that takes place every Sunday. BB Mantra Boutique and Budget

  • Hotel Area: Old Town
  • Rating Booking: 8.7 (Excellent)
  • Description: I had the opportunity to stay here during my first visit to Chiang Mai in 2014. I found the rooms very comfortable, the outdoor pool has direct access from some of the ground floor rooms (which I recommend) and it boasts an excellent location in the center of Old Town

Sleep Guesthouse

  • Hotel Area: Old Town
  • Rating Booking: 9.5 (exceptional)
  • Description: I visited the this Guesthouse during my second visit to Chiang Mai in 2016. It has a modern décor and ambience, in an industrial style, and very comfortable rooms. The location is excellent too. (And the freshly squeezed fruit juices of the cafe right in front of the guesthouse are absolutely delicious!)

 Yindee Stylish Guesthouse

  • Hotel Area: Old Town
  • Rating Booking: 8.9 (Excellent)
  • Description: Yindee was one of the guesthouses I visited in Chiang Mai in 2016. It has a very comfortable and quiet environment. The rooms appear to be quite comfortable and, like the all the others, boasts a great location in a quiet area of Old Town.

 Heuan Pak Dee Chiang Mai

  • Hotel Area: Old Town
  • Rating Booking: 9.3 (Wonderful)
  • Description: I stayed at this Guesthouse in 2016. Unlike the previous ones, it also offers female and mixed dorms of 6 and 8 beds, in addition to the private rooms. The private rooms are very comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. The guesthouse has an inner garden and an excellent location.

Chiang Mai-Thailand


 SriPat Guesthouse

  • Hotel Area: Old Town
  • Rating Booking: 8.8 (Excellent)
  • Rates: Double and/or Twin room-between €30 and € 40/night.
  • Description: I visited this Guesthouse in 2016. I found the rooms very comfortable with good sized beds and nicely decorated. It has an outdoor swimming pool (something very useful especially in the warmer season) and, like all the others, an excellent location.
